Can you try this in /etc/sysconfig/postfix?
Code:
POSTFIX_SMTP_AUTH=yes
POSTFIX_SMTP_AUTH_OPTIONS="plain login"
Then run
Code:
SuSEconfig
/etc/init.d/postfix restart
