Smile Using hashes instead of plain text passwords

Hi all,

this discussion saved me a lot of time (even it tooks half a day to find it ) Thanks al lot.

Not yet tested (to tired) there is a way to use hashes - like MD5 - to "encrypt" the password. I found this link - look for "openssl". In short, you can put "openssl" into SQLAuthTypes as we can see here...http://www.castaglia.org/proftpd/mod...l#SQLAuthTypes and here.
