Sorted it out now.. What i did was a usr/sbin/netconfig set it to Use dynamic ip configuration
i checked the /etc/resolv.conf did some thinking
Then back to usr/sbin/netconfig and put my fixed ip addess and worked it out from there

And now i am happy updating :-)
