If you really decide to use Wheezy as the HW node you'd better off with following this guide: http://openvz.org/Install_kernel_from_RPM_on_Debian_6.0 - it was for Squeeze but should work well.

The kernel in the Wheezy repo is actually very old (59) where the current stable is 76.
