Thats the most likely reason for your problem. The correct log lines for a ispconfig server are:

CustomLog "|/root/ispconfig/cronolog --symlink=/var/log/httpd/ispconfig_access_log /var/log/httpd/ispconfig_access_log_%Y_%m_%d" combined_ispconfig
The loglines that you used are not compatioble with ispconfig and can not be splitted correctly.
