I hope that's not true or everyone on a shared IP is going to have a lot of problems!
@Ian Wilson: Just on the offchance, I had a similar problem and eventually found that I had both dovecot and courier installed. By uninstalling courier, I got things working again. (The server came with courier pre-installed)
