Hi Falko,

Thank you for your latest instructions and this is what I did in Terminal:
ernest@ernest-desktop:~$ cd/home/ernest/Desktop
tar xvfz OOo_3.0.0_LinuxX86-64_install_en-US_deb.tar.gz
bash: cd/home/ernest/Desktop: No such file or directory
ernest@ernest-desktop:~$ ls-la
bash: ls-la: command not found
ernest@ernest-desktop:~$
I have a horrible feeling that I am not doing what you wanted me to do-I am so new to Ubuntu that I am not sure if I am doing what I should be doing.
Sorry,I do appreciate your help but I feel that I am only wasting your time.
