Ok, making progress.

Let's go ahead a do a:

MailScanner -V

This will show us the version at the very top of the results.

Also, comment out the following line:

Quarantine Whole Message As Queue Files = no

Restart mailscanner and check your logs. Log into mailwatch and see what happens. Let me know how it turns out.
