mysql alternative backup/replication > mysql tmpfs

Hi all,

warning: linux only, don't use this if your database(s) are larger then available ram

For sake of speed I created an init script that loads all available databases into tmpfs on boot...

if you remove packages it's preferred to use
apt-get purge "mypackage" "other-package"
instead of apt-get...

Looking at the postfix config ( main.cf ) I saw it's using a couple of variables to determine the hostname / mailname / data_directory etc ...

I'm having a strange fail2ban issue ( which otherwise works perfect ).
For some reason the sshd.conf fail2ban regex doesn't pick up a specific brute force attack IP. ( 219.140.165.85 )...

awstats mail + web + ftp analysis ?

I was looking at the awstats config file trying to figure out how to do analysis of web + mail + ftp as seen on some other sites.

looks like the standard config only allows to do either 1 of them....

I can login using mysql -h localhost -u ispconfig -p


still no imap / pop access :confused:

shouldn't those be identical ?

After updating php to v5.3 I noticed numerous errors when (trying) opening ispconfig.
I ran ispconfig_update.sh and kept the default...

I am able to login using the credentials in /usr/local/ispconfig/interface/lib/config.inc.php ( file didn't change ), so I quess that means I can rule out a mysql...

ispconfig-3 all user passwords changed: including admin

Today I found out that I as unable to login with both the admin and my regular user account onto an ispconfig-3 installation

I use a password manager ( keepass ) so it's definitely not a case of...
