I'm having a similar problem out of the blue.

I'm suddenly seeing a similar problem. I'm on 2.2.18 and this is the first new user I've added since the upgrade. The user appears fine in the interface, the physical mailbox and IMAP login works...

If you have multiple external IPs (you're lucky) then it should be easy to do properly. You also need multiple IPs on the internal box (which everyone can do). Create additional non conflicting IPs...

I don't know Debian but if their prebuilt kernels are very recent they are usually "back ported" with fixes from newer kernels.

However if you want to compile from the raw source from kernel.org...

A master/slave (or 20 slaves if you want) is a basic design of DNS servers. Even Win2K servers can do it.. You do have to create the initial config one time.
But I think I see the problem...

The config for the domain in ISPconfig has an option for "External Server". That is what is overwriting your manual config. Set that to external server and it will then obey the MX rules you have.

I'm pretty sure that you can. I only use 1 NIC but I have 3 IPs plus a VPN channel (eth0, eth0:1, tun0, etc.). In the configs where appropriate I specify the IP(s) I want to use. Works as expected.
