Its a long shot but I had an authentication problem that was caused by putting squigles in my MySQL password. (not root the one SASL uses). Try only useing numbers and letters in you're password.

There is a problem there, if you start sending out on port 26 then no E-mail server will understand, because they will be listoning on port 25, and you can't go out from port 26 and arrvie at port 25...
