But the question is does ISPConfig remove as well as add IP addresses when going thru ISPConfig and using Debian Wheezy as the OS...

I have tried all types of things but I'm not really a programmer so its killing me. I don't know what I don't know about ajax :-)

Go to System -> Server Config -> Click on your mail server and check the IP address, Netmask , and Gateway and may sure none of them is 127.0.0.1, it has to be your actual IP address.
