I'm now trying Debian on that VPS, so this thread is no longer usable.
But it will be, if Debian fails on MySQL, again.

Solved: Debian + MySQL = Failed to login

On every VPS (installation), when I install a Debian server, it never let me to connect to MySQL.
[root@client319 ~]#mysql -p

But like I said before, I can't stop MySQL.
If I can't stop it, logging in without "-p" is useless.
