Okay so for the main part I just need to set files to

www-data.www-data for the web interface to have edit ability which is what most of my clients need????

so if rivervalleywebhosting.com has a catch all that could be bad?

Ideally as in the past it does and then all of it anyways forwards to rivervalleywebdesign.com which will be moved to this server shortly.

So I think drupal puts an .htaccess in the folder you choose for you files folder in
Administer --> Filesettings
I moved it to HTACCESS and then created a link to the one I was told to use in the...

Drupal and TinyMCE and images...

On a non ispconfig server it worked like a snap...
But when I insert an image it just does not show up.
Both are clean installs.
All the same settings.....

What I meant but wrote in a rush and did not get across was that I think there was something in /usr/bin that when I removed apache ie apt-get remove apache and just had apache2 install missing.

For me the mistake was

with ubuntu there is apache and apache2.
I figured since I was not using apache it was not needed, ie I was using apache2
But once removed everything worked but the ISPConfig updates.

httpd.conf was left alone ie it is default

dav_fs conf looked like this

One..a2enmod dav
Two..Add line once to httpd.conf
DAVLockDB /tmp/DAVLock
Three..
