Mail lists with couriermlm

Does ISPConfig manage mailing lists via couriermlm? I have a set of mail lists managed by Zervex DSM (wrapped around couriermlm, I think). How do I migrate them to the new server running ISPConfig?

I don't know if this is related, but I'm trying here before I open a new thread.

Say I have many webroots (different websites). I want a single user (system account) to FTP to a number (more than...

I read 5 minutes into that thread, but didn't completely understand how it relates to my case. But I'm guessing you're saying I will potentially encounter problems if I have 2 mailusers...

Done. Thanks! I don't know how the former root passwords turn up in a `grep' in those binary files, though. Odd.

Deleting a mailuser does not work completely

Create a site, say "testsite.com". Under that site, create a mailuser say "myuser@mydomain.com" tied to system account say "web1_myuser". Delete that mailuser (via ISPConfig's web interface).

FTP not allowing upload to webroot

I created a site "testsite.com". The webroot is set by ISPConfig at /var/www/web3/web. However, any users I created under that site can only FTP to /var/www/web3/user/web3_myuser (chrooted).

I...

Seems IMAP works (SquirrelMail) but email login ID not usable

Yes, it does allow 'root' user to do manual (and quick) creations of mail users. But wouldn't I also need to tell ISPConfig's backend about it as well? That's my problem, what I do as 'root',...

Updating ISPConfig via Update Manager

Is it possible to update/upgrade (say from 2.1.2 to 2.2.0) ISPConfig through ISPConfig's "Management -> Update Manager -> Update"? Or is that used for .pkg files only?

But we can't expect mail users to login as web3_myuser, can we? That's odd. Users want to log in as "myuser@mydomain.com" instead.

How does Postfix use it? PAM authentication perhaps? So why...
