Cool found a fix

after some struggling
I made a new xen domU and named it without dots .
Then xen-shell worked.
so probably dots are nor supported !!

A lot of rescripting work for me hihi.

Cool my solution

For this i would use following hardware:

asus motherboard about 80 euro (I take micro-atx with 4 mem. banks)
amd 64-bit processor 80 euro
some memory about 50 euro
2 x 1tb harddisk (24/7) ones...

Lightbulb wow SOLVED

I added Charset=UTF-8 after the IndexOptions and restarted apache and it's solved. :D


IndexOptions FancyIndexing VersionSort HTMLTable NameWidth=* Charset=UTF-8

but maybe this is not a good sollution if you have multi users.

Maybe someone has a better idea?

i never used it but maybe you can do following

mount --bind olddir newdir

so:

cd /home/ftp
mkdir extra
mount --bind /otherdir extra

If you are using proftp you could change this setting

pico /etc/proftpd.conf

Look for this line it Locks all the users in home directory
DefaultRoot ~

But it's not advisable for security...

some fixes I use

At ubuntu I just add
this line to /etc/inittab

1:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty 38400 console

For debian I needed to install udev
apt-get install udev

maybe this helps?

uncomment the lines
and change something in dns with ispconfig....

edited /root/ispconfig/isp/confnamed.conf.master and removed the 127.***

If I delete it out of the named.conf it returns after changing something in ISPconfig.

I checked system with rkhunter and chkrootkit
I removed all the strange code and searched for other codes with slocate and removed them all.

Only I am left with this line every minute in the log...

Important is the upload speed of your connection.
Probably you have about 1Mbit(+- 125KB)upload, this should be ok to host a forum. It will only...

he Till tried it..

I needed some time to change the locales(got some errors first,you need to choose the right ones..) on the debian 4
but it now seems the same on both servers!
