Fix the installer?

We seem to get this error everytime ISPConfig gets installed.

Can we not put the 64-bit zlib path into the compile script?

I'm getting a bit fed up of having to delete the install only to edit...

CentOS 4.1 64bit

OK. I trashed my old ISPConfig install and installed v2.09.

It recognises CentOS 4.1 64bit now, but it still does not compile.

To get installed, you will need to install the ssl-devel package....

If you want some samba support, I recommend Webmin instead - I'd say ISPConfig is for configuring a server for web hosting, not general server admin.

Does anyone have a 'perfect' setup guide to using Dovecot as an imap/pop3 server?

I'm using Centos and Dovecot is the default mail utility, which should be a lot easier to manage than the suite...

Is /root the best place for ISPConfig to be installed to? Surely /usr/local would be best for it according to the FHS http://www.pathname.com/fhs/ with all configuration in /etc
