I'd need to create a site (vhost) where different devices can FTP their data files in their...

Well, other vhosts on that server are managed by ISPConfig. And Nagios was, too. But it became a mess when I needed an upgrade -- too much copying around, so I used the method in the first post to...

Well, Nagios vhost isn't "known" to ISPConfig, so it won't get rewritten.

Speaking of "rewriting config"... I noticed that now, when I edit a vhost, its symlink in /etc/apache2/sites-enabled...

BTW, I used that method to add Nagios only...

Simplify config of vhosts

When you have both http and https for the same site, great part of the config is duplicated, while it would be sufficient to save the "core" definition in a file then do:

sites "ordering"

Hi.

It could be useful (at least for who uses SNI, but even for others) to define an ordering in vhosts definitions.

ATM I've done a workaround: define a site as NNN-sitename.domain.tld but...

HTTP Basic auth and FastCGI

Hello all.

I've been bitten twice by this, so I thought to share the solution.
The problem is that, if you use fastcgi(+suexec) your php scripts won't see $_SERVER['PHP_AUTH_USER'] and...

Correction in docs + more ideas

Hi.

It's me again :)

Per http://wiki.apache.org/httpd/NameBasedSSLVHostsWithSNI it seems it's not needed to specify IP for SSL sites on SNI.

Another useful feature could be to add in the...

Another useful option could be "reorder icons", so that the user can choose to see "home, monitor, sites, system" instead of "home, system, sites, monitor".
Maybe I wasn't able to find...

I think it could be useful to have the currently connected-to "instance" name (can't use server name since it's "not well defined" in a multi-server scenario) displayed between ISPConfig logo...

Running such a query places load only on DB, and that load doesn't depend on the method used to send it.
There are surely many ways to optimize it. In PostGreSQL I'd use a stored procedure.
