DNS Settings keep breaking
I rent a VPS and i have custom nameservers setup on my machine (the domain name used for the nameservers is the machine's FQDN)
OS: ubuntu 12.04 x64 External domain name: sanity-surpassed.eu (registered with 123-reg, configured to point to my custom nameservers) VPS FQDN: artanis.nitrous-networks.co.uk ns1.artanis.nitrous-networks.co.uk and ns2.artanis.nitrous-networks.co.uk have both been propagated and configured to be used as such by my VPS host. RDNS is also working as intended. DNS is unreliable and sometimes when i reboot the VPS, i get downtime for the WWW and any other A records i have setup (like for example voice.sanity-surpassed.eu for teamspeak3) Records don't seem to be syncing properly or "staying active" and i'm struggling to resolve the issue. Output of /etc/hosts: Code:
#fe00::0 ip6-localnetCode:
nameserver 208.67.222.222Thanks |
Check /var/log/syslog for named / bind errors.
