Postfix 2.5 - Postfix does not log to /var/log/mail for 2 hours every day
 

Hello there,

as the title already descriped i have a strange logging behaviour on my postfix configuration (SLES 11). The /var/log/mail file is written every day and for all the time, except for the time between 13:45 and 15:45. This occurs every third day, when the logging switch happens, so that the "old" /var/log/mail is going to a bz2 archive. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Hm, I'd check the logrotate configuration maybe. Also make sure your system time is set up correctly.
