Restricting Access to Sites with Apache Directives
Hey all,
Anyone know of a way to restirct access to websites hosted with ispconfig3? I have tried adding stuff found here http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/howto/access.html into the Apache Directives in the control panel but I cannot figure out which is the correct format. Right now I want to restrict access to a site to two IP's, and I may want to allow others in the future. Any help will be greatly appreciated. --Steve |
Install Webmin on your server. It has a GUI module called "Protected Web Directories". It will take care the command format.

Using ISPConfig and Webmin together is not a good idea.
What exactly did you add in ISPConfig? |
Don't worry.
Webmin and ispconfig 3 work very well together. The key point is: don't interfere ispconfig3 with Webmin. After all, gui is much easier than command lines. :) |
I know many servers of my daily work were users destroyed their ispconfig setups by using webmin, so I can only recommend to not use webmin on a ISPConfig server.
