What Linux distribution should i get?
Well i've decided, after trying a few boot CD's, that i'm going to install Linux, the problem is there are so many distributions that it's hard to tell which one i should install.
I know quite a bit about computers as i'm currently studying ICT in college so if a particular distribution is for the more technical user, that won't be a problem. Now, while i may know a fair bit about computers, i still like simple GUI's and would like a distribution that's easy to do the "basics" on, (such as instant messaging, emailing, web browsing etc etc.) Oh, another thing is, i'm quite into gaming, so obviously i'd like a Linux distrubution that won't be too difficult to get games running on, i've heard of some problems with gaming on some distributions. I recommend to take a look at Linux Mint if you search for a good Linux Desktop:

tks for your sharing, till, :D

I'd have to say, Ubuntu is going to be your best bet. Linux Mint as well.

I still prefer Kubuntu because I like many KDE apps.

I'd vote for Linux Mint as well (or Xubuntu). Basically anything that doesn't use Unity.
