local vs. external www.example.com
I followed all the steps in the article "Running Simple Groupware On Nginx (LEMP) On Debian Squeeze/Ubuntu 11.10" (http://www.howtoforge.com/running-si...e-ubuntu-11.10). However when I enter address http://www.example.com/sgs_installer.php, suggested by the author to launch the web-based installer, and the browser immediately takes me to http://www.iana.org/domains/example/. What should I do so that the browser would take me to local www.example.com instead of the external one?

You must configure thre hosts file on your client PC so that www.example.com points to your local server: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/sho...s+file+windows

Thank you Falko, it finally worked! But at first I had to overcome confusion of understanding what do you call "client computer" - because I thought of this client computer as a host, since I installed the server in the VBox. Host to VBox, but client to server. :) IMHO you should put this explanation in your excellent tutorials.
