ISPConfig 3: cannot remove email alias

I have ISPConfig 3 on Ubuntu 10.04. System has been working great for many months.

Recently, I removed an email alias and need to setup that address as a mailbox.

The new mailbox receives mail, but I cannot log into the account via Roundcube. I get login failed.

If I watch the log, I can see that the alias is still there forwarding mail. When I go into MySQL I can see the account or alias being created then removed when I perform that action from within ISPConfig, so that part is working.

I have added the alias and removed it several times but no success in resolving login failed issue. Is there somewhere else besides MySQL that the alias resides (for example in Postfix somewhere). I could not open/view aliases.db

Thanks, Eric
