Postfix doesn't have
I transferred my website files and databases from one server to another (as well as /etc/group and /etc/passwd) , and now postfix says this in the mail log:
Code:
Apr 9 19:07:16 serv1 postfix/postdrop[21201]: warning: mail_queue_enter: create file maildrop/229057.21201: Permission deniedAny suggestions? |
Did you preserve permissions and ownerships when you moved the files?
|
Yes I did. However I made the mistake of transferring the /etc/passwd and /etc/group AFTER I installed all of the packages and ISPConfig :( I looked at the permissions from the other server, and I changed the owners and groups to match.
This server is Debian 6. (I'm not sure why I didn't mention that in the first post). |
any ideas? :/
|
Is the old server still available, so that you can reinstall the new one from scratch? Copying over the passwd, shadow and group files will break the server. Copy just the web* user and client* group lines from the old to the new server and not the whole files.
|
Dang it :/
Everything else works just not postfix. I was hoping I wouldn't have to reinstall everything. Oh well. I will try it doing that. |
