Creating SSL website with Trusted SSL certificate
Hi all,
A few days ago I recieved a Thawte 123 SSL certificate for my head website. Now i want to import and activate this for my website but is goes not as planned. Could anybody say me how to import and activate this for a website? If i add this to the SSL section in the field SSL certificate and click 'action: Save certificate' it does nothing.. It creates only a domainname.ext.key and domainname.ext.csr file in the domainname.ext/ssl/* folder. THe save action does not seems to work with not self-signing certificates.. Could please help me someone with this? I dont like to do it manually with the apache configs in the .vhost files because when a update arrives of ispconfig all is gone so.. Thank you Stefan E. |
First you have to create a certificate in ISPConfig (action: "Create Certificate"), then you copy the CSR and go to your CA with it to make them create a trusted certificate. You then copy that certificate into the "SSL Certificate" field and select "Save Certificate" and click on "Save".
