Did you run
Code:

apt-get update
after you changed /etc/apt/sources.list?

zimele 12th June 2006 16:23

yes i have

falko 12th June 2006 17:02

Are you sure you didn't make any typos when you tried to install proftpd?

zimele 13th June 2006 09:54

None

I've checked and absolutely no typos

falko 13th June 2006 11:24

Then either Ubuntu has changed its repositories for 5.10, or there is some kind of error during your setup...
