I have noticed that posts to threads on this forum show up VERY quickly on Google!

What modules do you use to get the thread posts to show up so quickly on Google searches!

I am totally amazed at how fast Google updates it's search engine for hottoforge.org.

I've seen my own posts show up when Googling for solutions as quickly as a minute!

Google does the indexing on its own. The only thing we do is submitting a sitemap once a day.

Google & Sitemap

I thought sitemaps only needed to be sent to Google when the overall layout of the site changed.

Thanks for the info.

Google must have figured out there is a lot of activity on How To Forge and Google likes such things!

Thats why spammers love this place. We (the Admins/Moderator) delete "lot's of" spam and ban spammers daily!
It's almost a full time job!

For google this is a high quality site with lots of original content so the spider indexes stuff a lot more often than on other sites. Same goes fore news sites... as they constantly add stuff, they also get indexed a lot more :)
