Squirrelmail symlink

I have been following "The Perfect Server - Ubuntu 10.04 [ISPConfig 3]" and have had a problem creating the following symlink:

ln -s /usr/share/squirrelmail/ /var/www/webmail

It says there is no such file or directory, can someone advise me on how to create this symlink please

Did you install SquirrelMail?

Yes - I installed squirrelmail first. I have now created the webmail directory manually, not sure if that's the right thing to do.

I can now access the squirrelMail homepage but when I log in I get the following error.

ERROR: Could not complete request.
Query: SELECT "INBOX"
Reason Given: Error in IMAP command received by server.

Did you configure SquirrelMail as shown in the tutorial?
