In mail-client, it says like fine, but when i send email from ouside to mailbox, email just disappear. Any ideas please ? Its urgent

till 14th November 2009 21:26

Thats not a courier problem. The mailbox does not exist or it has wrong permissions.

Please check if the jobqueue in the ispconfig monitor is empty or if there are any errors in the ispconfig sys log in the monitor.

HiJacker 14th November 2009 22:43

Code:

74012183DA 10161 Fri Nov 13 17:39:20 ndr@xxx.com
(temporary failure. Command output: /usr/bin/maildrop: Unable to open mailbox.)
xxx@xxx.eu

So, how can I fix it ? Im sorry about that i titled this thread wrong, i havent got alot of skills with mailboxes etc.

Syslog is empty

I cant fix it whatever i do, how I can i completly reinstall packages releated to mails ? With apt, but total reinstall, including configs etc., because aptitude reinstall just replace sys files, not configs, I want to make it like first time I was installing ISPconfig. Thanks

1) What exactly did you do before this problem started?
2) Post the output of:
ls -la /var/vmail
3) Have you tried to delete the mailbox and maildomain and then recreate it?

HiJacker 17th November 2009 12:58

So, i reinstalled server, after i installed it from revision 1475 , because that one which is in Howtoforge guide doesnt work for me. Everything was fine during installation.

Now i got fresh installed from rev 1475 , and I still cant receive emails, i can only send. This looks like bug, not only my problem.

You installed from SVN. The SVN versions are untested and not for use on productions sytems. The svn versions are for developers only and may contain bugs or even destroy your serve setup.

Please remove this version completely and install ISPConfig 3.0.1.6 which definately does not contain bugs in the mail recceiving area.

till 17th November 2009 13:07

Lets try to find out were your server is confuigured wrong. Which exact perfect setup guide did you use to install sipconfig?

HiJacker 17th November 2009 13:09

This one http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-se...nny-ispconfig3

Then which ISPConfig should I install ?
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/isp...g-3.0.1.tar.gz Doesnt work for me, when i start installation, it say that cant get version of system or something like that.

Is there any kind of downgrade or complete reinstall without needed to reinstall Debian?

//EDIT

tried php uninstall.php , done, now ill try that 3.0.1.6

//EDIT2

doesnt work, im going to reinstall server

//EDIT3

when I installed squirrelmail, it said error 500,

Code:
