Always return mail with "no user"

1) upgrade to 3.0.1.2
2) disabled and uninstaled apparmor
3) checked other post with this issue

but still reciving mail didnt work, send mail with autorization working perfect...

there is mail.log

I waited some time if there will be posted same issue,..... but now i need fix it as soon as possible, because i need to do some mail migrations to this server.

linux distribution is ubuntu 8.10 with updates...

till 23rd May 2009 16:31

Which maildrop package do you have installed? There are two packages available for ubuntu 8.10 if I remember correctly and one of them is compiled without mysql and will not work.

kralik 23rd May 2009 16:40

sorry about my petulance,

i found solution now at end of this thread

http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/sho...ht=pipe&page=3

i changed master.cf from
Quote:

maildrop unix - n n - - pipe
flags=R user=vmail argv=/usr/bin/maildrop -d ${recipient} ${extension} ${recipient} ${user} ${nexthop} ${sender}
to
Quote:

maildrop unix - n n - - pipe
flags=R user=vmail argv=/usr/bin/maildrop -d vmail ${recipient} ${extension} ${recipient} ${user} ${nexthop} ${sender}
and seems that its start working now....

version of maildrop is:

maildrop 2.0.4 Copyright 1998-2005 Double Precision, Inc.
GDBM/DB extensions enabled.
Maildir quota extension enabled.

thanks for your time

/var/vmail/xxxx/kral/new

then how is best way to fix this:
mail is delivered to
/var/vmail/kral/xxx@xxx/new

but courier downloading mail from
/var/vmail/xxxxh.xx/kraxxl/new

till 23rd May 2009 17:31

You changed the maildrop line wrong, it must be:

Code:

flags=R user=vmail argv=/usr/bin/maildrop -d vmail ${extension} ${recipient} ${user} ${nexthop} ${sender}
