mod_rewrite error 500
 

Ik have 2 VM's with ISpconfig2 on Debian Etch, and the other Debian Lenny with ISpconfig3. Both are installed by following the perfect setup. When I enable htaccess file on ISPc.2 for a joomla website using sh404sef it works, i only need to comment out +Options +FollowSymLinks in .htaccess file.

The same site I transported to ISPc.3, but I get an 500 fatal error. In the phpinfo page I can see that mod_rewrite is enabled. Are there more possibllities to find out why it's not working.

Take a look at the error log of the website to get the resaon for your error.
