give ispconfig created users, different directory access
How can I have a user say web1_user
and web1_user2. and assign web1_user to /web/folder1/ ; /web/yet/another/folder/ and then assign web1_user2 to /web/folder2/ ; /web/yet/another/folder/ How can this be accomplished. In one particular website, there are several users who need to login and upload files to pre-existing places on the website, and some places are common places where other users will share a space, and others are pre-existing places where they need access to a particular folder of there own. Not the way Ispconfig currently has it where its under the /users/ folder. |
The only way I see at the moment is that you symlink the other folders into the root folder of the ftp user.

Ok thanks, is this feature being worked on for ISPConfig3?

ISPConfg 3 supports this already as it uses virtual mailsuers.
