OpenLDAP + Samba Domain Controller On Ubuntu 7.10 Logon Issue

I can't seem to login to my XP box after following the 'OpenLDAP + Samba Domain Controller On Ubuntu 7.10 ' instructions. I've got to finishing the instructions without a problem, but when I actually logon, it says 'loading your personal settings, and 10 seconds later, displays the 'press ctrl alt del' screen.

Also, after creating a new user through LDAP, It says 'can't logon now as the domain is unavailable.

any ideas?
