Hi all
I have Ubuntu Server installed in a desktop computer and I'm trying to use it for controlling a domain which will be used for windows machines authentication and file sharing.

I followed this tutorials:
https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/serverg...amba-ldap.html
https://help.ubuntu.com/8.10/serverg...ap-server.html

My domain is abc.com and I can see it in ldapsearch but when I try to connect from my windows machine to the abc domain using root user and pass
tail -f /var/log/syslog

Feb 25 15:31:11 server slapd[10863]: <= bdb_equality_candidates: (sambaGroupType) not indexed

Feb 25 15:31:11 server last message repeated 3 times
Feb 25 15:31:11 server slapd[10863]: <= bdb_equality_candidates: (sambaSID) not indexed
Feb 25 15:31:11 server last message repeated 2 times
Feb 25 15:31:11 server slapd[10863]: <= bdb_equality_candidates: (gidNumber) not indexed

Any ideas why?

I've attached:

Thanks for the info. My next task is to combine LDAP and PDC into one coherent network.
