subdomain problem

hello all i have installed ISPConfig in a ubuntu 5.10 in a pII 800 .
the install was pretty much easy, thanks to "ISP-Server Setup - Ubuntu 5.10 "Breezy Badger"".
with a dsl line ,router-modem-firewall.From the start i have this problem wen i insert www.mydomain.gr in firefox it gets this message --"the operation timed out when attempting to contact www.mydomain.gr"-- i thought it was a dns problem so i cheked out http://freedns.afraid.org/ and made the domain and a subdomain to records with afraid.org's dns servers.
But the problem is still there..
so i started to see search , i ssh mydomain.gr and i can connect, then i ftp://mydomain.gr and works then https://mydomain.gr:81 is working to.So i have two problems
1) i can't http://www.mydomain.gr
2) i can't http://subdomain.mydomain.gr

can anyone help me go through this?

Did you create a web site for www.mydomain.gr and subdomain.mydomain.gr in ISPConfig?
Do the A records for www.mydomain.gr and subdomain.mydomain.gr point to your public IP address?
Did you forward port 80 from your router to your ISPConfig server?

I guess you deleted a website with mydomain and have not emptied the recycle bin. Please check if mydomain is in any of the recycle bins and empty it.
