Curiosity... again
I currently use a NAS running a stripped kernel on a floppy (NASLite). so no floppy no worky worky ;)
I was wondering if there was a similar setup anyone knows of for a webserver (just a webserver, no mail, no DNS just a basic webserver that runs php, CGI, asp & xml) with MySQL and the smallest footprint possible. I have seen several similar products claiming similar functioning but I am a bit phobic about wasted space and background processes. To be honest the kernel stripping idea NASLite uses would be wonderful if it had the additional plugs but I havent the slightest idea on how to go about it. The tutorials here BTW were wonderful I had a system up in a litle over 45 minutes, however the box itself is not exactly top of the line so it was a bit overwhelming on the 500Mhz Celeron CPU. Any assist would be wonderful. |
LOL, was it something I said........
