centos 5 mod_ssl important please help !
Greetings to all,
i completed all steps of perfect setup for centos 5 . I installed ispconfig Everything was fine. I tried to access an ssl url and realized that apache did not have mod_ssl installed. I ran yum install mod_ssl an it seemed to install it fine. The problem now is that apache will not start if ssl.conf is in the conf.d directory . If i rename it everything is fine. Can anyone suggest something ? I am much obliged... Regards Leonidas |
just as update, from the error_log file i can see this line :
[Wed Nov 07 07:51:51 2007] [notice] suEXEC mechanism enabled (wrapper: /usr/sbin/suexec) |
ok i got it . My certs where wrong and apache would not start. It is a pitty though that apache would not report an error message ...
