Upgrading from Breezy to Dapper LTS danger to ISPConfig?
Hi
I've been running ISPConfig on a Ubuntu Breezy server since late 2005 with no problems. I want to upgrade from Breezy to Dapper LTS. Is this advisable, or will it break ISPConfig? Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. I've read this thread http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9577 but there was no conclusion. and this one http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2717 and will be following the steps to back up data. Regards Brenton |
Thats not easy to answer. Generally it should work, but I have not tested it with Ubuntu as I use mostyl Debian on my servers.

Brenton,
When you have some information about this upgrade please post here, I want to upgrade the Ubuntu Dapper to Edgy... Do you already try apt-get upgrade? Regards, Vinicius |
Hi Vinicius
I'm still busy drawing up the plan. I have to be careful as it's on a production server and I only have remote access. Breezy is no longer supported so apt-get will not work. I will post steps and results as soon as I have the courage to take the plunge. Regards Brenton |
