suexec's fault

it apears that suexec is to blame for the problems here, I just disabled suexec in ispconfig and the problem went away, I have no idea what suexec is nor do I intend to use cgi at all so this is not a problem for me but others may have trouble with this.

so it would be nice to fix, if anybody has sugestions??????????

I will try then

thanx

the link shed some lite that led me to suesec at the culprit here.altho php doesn't seem to be giveing me trouble so far, at least not in the conf file, havent tested some scripts yet.

What was the exact error that
Code:

httpd -t
gave you?
Did you install suExec?

diehard67 4th November 2007 15:48

syntax error

syntax error at line ??

the line was suexecusergroupe or momthing like that, I disabled suexec in ispconfig and created a site and it worked after about a minute or 2.

falko 5th November 2007 19:08

It probably means the suExec isn't installed.
Did you follow this guide: http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect_se...va_spring_2007 to set up your server?

diehard67 6th November 2007 14:35

yes I did fallow the perfect server instructions for mdv 2007.1

What's the output of
Code:

/usr/sbin/suexec -V
?
