Could you describe how to create your installation packages so that
software can be adapted to be use with this functionallity.

the idea to simply select a packade and upload to gain functionallity is appealing.

I will make a short howto for building custom packages soon.

As starting point for you:

1) The packages are normal .zip files. If you rename a .pkg file to .zip
extension you can extract them.

2) Inside is always a file called package.ins. This is a text file that
includes the commands for the installation.

3) If you want to build a new package, it is nescessary that you
build the .zip file with the "Do not store path" option.
