Postfix or email server setup
Hi All,
I am newbie but I have worked with apache, PHP and MySQL on a windows platform. I am trying to change to linux and I would like to set up an email server on my local machine. I dont have a real domain to host it BUT i would like to try it on my machine so that I propose the idea when it works to my other colleagues in school. Does anyone know any useful resource I can use to set up the email server using postfix on SuSE 9.2 after installing and then installing like squirellmail for a web access. I would like to use a domain which doesnt exist but be able to send email on the LAN or even outside. Hope to hear from you all. Waiting! Richard |

If you don't use a control panel like ISPConfig, you will have to set up your mailboxes manually. This is described here: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2 Quote:
