Database Backup and Restore

In future releases is it possible to add:
1.) Restore DB function on the Tools menu
2.) Have a custom number of DB backups stored on the local server for use for restore.
3.) Backup Scheduler

1.) If you need to revert back to yesterdays or earlier DB backup for any reason, the server will have a list of available backed up DB's that you can select and do a instant restore on. You can create a shedule for backups to take place weekly, daily or montly or any of the combination. At the moment I have to do manual backups and well, it's annoying. I could do mysql dumps, but then I'd rather let ISPC handle the DB backups.

The restore will also come in handly if you want to reinstall your server. You chuck on a plain install of ISPC and then you can login and use the restore function to restore one of your backups, and you're up and running.

I think your request could also be realized as a plugin to ISPConfig.
I'm currently working on a backup plugin (actually just for myself) and the restore functionality and the integration into ISPConfig is just the point I'm working on at the moment.
Could you define your demand a little more detailed?

Would it be enough if you could select a database and then choose from a list of the last 7 days/ backups which shall be restored?

I am plannung to build a web interface for editing cronjobs. That would also include the backup-jobs. Do you think that backup scheduling should be separated?

That would be perfect.

Keep the backups all in 1 section. Adding a 3rd backup section is going to confuse the crap out of everyone.

If you find this too difficult, perhaps you should just use webmin or "borrow" it's scripts (they're written in Perl though.)

I like the idea of backups in the same server.
My ISPConfig is already virtualised and one more virtual disk that is actually located somewhere else is no problem.
