keep coming up with a access denied error for "username@localhost (using password=yes)"....mydnsconfig works fine so does mydns so i think it might be an update to the dns data base because it ticks in regulary but i can't find anything with user as "username" in the config or scripts has anyone else seen this before and figured it out? :)

What's the exact error message, and where do you get it?

my os is freebsd (unix) i get the error on login screen in the first terminal...it just states that something is trying to login to mysql using the user name "username" there isn't anything with that user name it looks like something isn't completely configured (need to change "username" to "mydns" maybe) i saw this first right after installing mydns and mydnsconfig...

Make sure you set up MyDNSConfig as shown here: http://www.howtoforge.com/mydns_name_server_p2
Also make sure that config.inc.php contains the correct database details.
