Dear helpful person.

I am a complete novice at linux and am confused and trying to install gcc - 4.0.2 on a server running linux mandrake le 2005.

It says that I need a ISO C90 Compiler to sart building the package.

Where do I get this and how do I install it.

I am running apache, mysql, bind, postfix, fetchmail, procmail.

I am not sure if you will need any other info to help but I would be very grateful for someone to suggest some way to prevent me from a nervous breakdown.

Thanks. Ben

You can install gcc with urpmi. If you have the Mandriva desktop installed, you can use the program rpmdrake for it.
