The orange wireless broadband etc on your system is really killing performance on the browser. Both IE and Firefox go up to 100% cpu when your sites are up.
Can you disable it or do something about it if it is GeoIP related?
It is really making your site hard to use together with other sites. It is not peacefully coexisting with other sites.

Thanks for the hint. We will check where the ad from orange comes from and if we can disable it.

Fiddling with a Javascript management tool indicates that is doubleclick advert wrapped in a falkag.net advert. Disabling doubleclick.net scripts makes the site okay.
I had really now idea how adversely adverts and flashy graphics could impact on website usability. I think website owners would do well to check the impact of the adverts they host.
As a website operator wannabe it has been a real eye opener.

Some ads (like Adsense from Google) are GeoIP related!

That's right, Till and I are in Germany, therefore we don't see those ads, but different ones. Most of them are displayed for North America.
What makes me wonder is that we have no contract with DoubleClick, so I think that ad must come from somewhere else.
