Need help understanding proftp setup

Hi All,

I have a situation where I need a user to have access to certain directories beneath their web domain (ie: /var/www/web2/web/xxxx), along with their normal user directory.

I read another post that was talking about chrooting a user. Is this the method that should be used or is their a different method of access?

if someone could elaborate I would greatly appreciate it.

Change DefaultRoot for these users in your proftpd.conf:
