I did a fresh Perfect install (Howto Forge) then installed ispconfig, check of the mysql db did not show ispconfig db. Then I did a reboot and now I have no GUI. The linux loads and all I see is an X on the screen.
What to do what to do?

Please check your syslog for error messages. ISPConfig does not interact with a X installation at all, so your problem is most likely not related to ISPConfig.

Also make sure SELinux is disabled.

Thank you for your prompt reply. I read several post in this forum and went back to the "drawing board" . . . I did a complete re-install; Fedora core 5 and ispconfig. I must have entered erroneous data in the previous install when making bile (sic) modifications with vi.
All is good now in this w0r1d.
