View Full Version : Secondary ip addresses on SuSE 9.3

Greets all. I am in need of a little config help here. I am setting up ispconfig and have it all installed and funtional. Now I am needing to add secondary ip addresses and have actually been able to add them to the server but I cannot ping or access the server from outside the server itself with these addresses. I added the ip addresses via the /etc/sysconfig/network/ifcfg-eth-bus-pci-0000 file additions. I know it's something I'm just not seeing. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :o

Why don't you run yast to configure additional IP addresses? This is also described here:

I originally used YAST to add the address but got the same result. I can ping the server from the server but cannot ping it from any other machine. Real purplexing. Firewall is also disabled per ispconfig instructions so I can't believe it's that causing the issue. :)
