ProFTP Problems

Hi guys, I am having trouble with step 4 from the HOWTO "Virtual Hosting With Proftpd And MySQL (Incl. Quota)".

I copy the text into the .conf file and then attempt to start the daemon. It fails to start (please note that it starts without this additional text).

Any ideas?

Is there an error message output?
What does syslog say?

Well, I gave up on ProFTP and have successfully installed PureFTP. Thanks anyway
